With its seven miles of wide, pristine beach, Isle of Palms is a popular vacation destination as well as a great place to call home. The island's average temperature from November to March is 57 degrees, and the summer season temperature averages 74 degrees from April to October. Those who love the water will be pleased to learn that the average ocean temperature is 81 degrees from May to September.
       Nestled on the northeast end of the island is the Wild Dunes resort, which offers luxurious oceanfront accommodations. Wild Dunes is home to 2.5 miles of wide sandy beach and two 18-hole championship golf courses. Its Links course ranks in the "World's Greatest 100" by Golf Digest.
