       Myrtle Beach is the jewel in South Carolina’s Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of coastline with white sandy beaches and sparkling waterways that are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, surfing, boating and fishing.

Southern Living magazine's Readers Choice Awards named Myrtle Beach the tops in three categories: Favorite Beach, Favorite Family Destination and Favorite Shopping Spot.
       The city enjoys a growing number of attractions -- including live music theater, restaurants, gift shops and recreational facilities -- that entertain seasonal visitors as well as year-round residents. Myrtle Beach is also a leader in vacation tours, which makes its resort real estate all the more prized.

Price Range

Homes in Myrtle Beach range from under $100,000 to more than $1 million. Styles vary from beachfront and oceanview condos and townhouses; to intercoastal, riverfront and marshview homes.

Live theater attracts famous entertainers, while the smaller clubs offer a variety of entertainment options. The local symphony and little theater groups present a nice mix of plays and operettas. And more than 1,200 restaurants offer exotic cuisine as well as traditional favorites.
       There are plenty of activities for the active or passive sports fan. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans is the local farm team for baseball's Atlanta Braves. The Intercoastal Waterway offers fishing, boating and other water activities. Tennis and polo are also offered in the area along with biking, running and Rollerblading.
